Create something reminiscent of an 8-bit image with the Muze Software’s application Pixel Art. This application allows you to use 20 basic colors, create 10 custom colors, draw as you see fit, save your project and work on it later, locally export your work, or upload your work to the cloud.

The minimum system requirements for running Pixel Art are: 1.5Ghz dual core processor, 400MB of RAM memory, 11MB of free disk space, .NET Framework 4.5.1 or newer, Windows XP SP3 through Windows 8.1.
The recommended system requirements for running Pixel Art are: 2.3GHz quad core processor, 500MB of RAM, 20MB of free disk space, .NET Framework 4.5.1 or newer, Windows 7 SP 1 through Windows 8.1.

The main panel on the interface presents the image you’re working on. At the top there’s a toolbar that lists 20 basic colors and 10 custom colors. There’s a panel that shows up only when you click the button to the far left on the toolbar. This panel lists buttons to start a new project, open an existing project, upload your image, and more. Overall, it won’t take long for you to figure out the interface.

From a functionality point of view, you can expect to get the following from Pixel Art: simple, user friendly interface that you can use to draw anything you want; 20 basic and 10 custom colors; save your project so you can open it at a later time; save the image when you’re done working on it; upload the image to the cloud.

Easily create pixel images with Pixel Art, a user friendly tool offered by Muze Software.

Pros

Don’t worry about the system requirements; they are so low that your system will surely meet them. You will not have to go through a steep learning curve to get accustomed to the interface. Use 20 basic colors, create 10 custom colors. Save your project, save your image, upload your image.

Cons

None that I could think of.
